EEC conducts wetland delineations in accordance to the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Wetlands Delineation Manual (Environmental Laboratory, 1987) and the associated Regional Supplements to the USACE Wetland Delineation Manual. Wetland identification consists of a three-parameter approach that involves determining the presence of hydrophytic vegetation, hydric soils, and wetland hydrology. Delineations of jurisdictional waters of the United States include documentation of onsite characteristics to confirm the different parameters associated with streams, creek channels, rivers, ponds, and/or lakes.
EEC also has the experience and knowledge to assist you with resolution of enforcement or restoration actions associated with unauthorized activities required by the USACE and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Situations involving enforcement or restoration by either of these agencies can be a serious issue and carry significant monetary penalties. Our team has assisted many clients resolve authorized activities by bringing them into compliance to allay their concerns over the last 20 years. Our services include after-the-fact permitting, wetland delineations in disturbed areas, mitigation solutions, restoration, and revegetation of disturbed areas.
